Hours & Routine

Sunrise Preschool & Day Care Centre is open from 8.00am until 6.00pm. The daily routine is as follows:

 

8.00 AM

Set up the room according to weekly programme

Greet children and families on arrival

Free play indoors

Discuss any daily issues

Begin to set up playground if time

 

9.30 AM

Morning circle (circle of love)

 

9.45 AM

Morning Tea

Indoor or Outdoor Program

 

11.30 AM

Group time – group split for: show and tell, story, game, discussion or yoga/creative dance

 

12.00 NOON

Lunch

 

12.15-1.00 PM

Outdoor/indoor play

 

1.00-3.00 PM

Sleep/quiet time for those who do not sleep

 

3.00 PM

Afternoon Tea

 

4.00-6.00 PM

Afternoon story/group time

Free play indoors/outdoors in selected areas and quiet
activities with an adult

 

 

 

Punctuality

To ensure that the kindergarten runs smoothly parents are asked to drop off their children before 9.30 am as this is when our morning circle commences and is an important start to the day for your child and our group.
