Personal STatements
ENZA: I have been working with children for over 16 years and firmly believe that children learn better when what is being learnt is important to them. So I am excited to be working in an environment in where children are allowed to self-regulate their own learning with the guidance of others inside and outside of the classroom.
The out-door environment is my favourite part of the centre, especially the huge tree and the wall mural. It provides the children with basics which help to develop into free, moral and integrated individuals. The part of the day I really enjoy is when I too become an investigator, explorer and friend in this Neo-Humanist environment.
LEITH: I come from the deep rain forests of the Wynn Wynn in the forests where dwells the beauty of NSW rainforests. Drawing these forests makes me full of love for the environment around me which continues to change and develop just like the children who I care for.
These children are very similar to those forests in the way the are so interconnected and diverse. They blossom with growth and hunger for freshness just a plant does.
Opening a flower bud to glimpse at the undeveloped bud you can see the beauty unformed but always changing. Just as the wind blows it’s breath all over this earth.
